Decompress, then look
fontcatalyst unwraps a WOFF or WOFF2 to the TTF or OTF stored inside it, then reports whether that file needs a repair this tool can do.
On this command, TTX is a repair. It runs only with
--repair, and only when a table will not decompile. To dump a folder of fonts to XML, use fontcatalyst ttx.
pipx install "fontcatalyst[otf] @ git+https://github.com/andrewsipe/FontCatalyst.git"
fontcatalyst fonts/ -r -ct
Flag reference
Recursive, -c / -ct, --repair, and recipes.
Safety & review
Archive, quarantine, required tables, and what --repair will touch.
Convert
One target per run. WOFF and WOFF2 wrap the font. TTF to OTF refits outlines; the [otf] install also removes overlaps and subroutinizes.
TTX
Dump a directory tree to .ttx. The ttx program itself takes one file.
Repository
README stays the front door; this site holds the detail.
